Reggio Emilia Approach
The Reggio Emilia Approach is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education that values the child as strong, capable and resilient, rich with wonder and knowledge.
Drawing upon renowned early learning principles from Reggio Emilia and Emergent pedagogies with a play-based learning philosophy, our children are given the opportunity to explore, experiment and discover at their own pace.

Early Years Learning Framework
The Early Years Learning Framework is a national framework for children from birth to five years, developed to ensure your child receives high-quality educational programs in their early childhood learning setting.
This is a vital age for your child to learn and develop, and the framework’s vision is for all children to experience play-based learning that is engaging and builds success in life. It is a key component of the National Quality Framework and a guide for early childhood educators working with children from birth to five years old.
School Readiness Program
The School Readiness program at Grace Village involves strengthening your child’s social & emotional development and independence skills through various activities designed to enhance their auditory, visual and tactile senses.
Children in the year prior to starting school will be exposed to more structured forms of activities regarding pre-writing, pre-reading, clarifying activities and simple maths, as well as developing their STEM and technology skills.
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Curriculum
Preschool children between 3 and 5 are inquisitive and alive to learning possibilities. This is important for developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills, channelling their enthusiasm for scientific discovery.
With iPads providing the interactive nature of physically touching a screen that responds to that touch and our Lego robotics programming supporting “hands-on, minds-on” learning, our STEM activities are developed to engage and motivate our little villagers’ interest in learning science and engineering.
Extracurricular Activities
Complementing the principles and outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework, our extracurricular activities programming opens your little ones’ world to a wider variety of opportunities, resources and interactions, encouraging them to develop and learn at their own pace.
A range of specialised developmental programs, “Eight Little Villagers” includes eight streams across various physical, mental and emotional skills.
Sydney Zoo Educational Partner
Our extracurricular activities also include our exclusive Sydney Zoo programs, teaching our children about the natural habitat, wildlife, caring for the environment, sustainability and aboriginal culture in an age-appropriate way.
Running two age-appropriate programs, our 2-6-year-olds enjoy two zoo excursions per year, while our under 2’s get to experience Sydney Zoo’s Puggletime mobile education program when they visit us here at Grace Village.
